Ingredients:
- 60 ml Burnt Fig Gin
- 30 ml Fresh lime juice
- 15 ml Raw dark sugar simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 30 ml Blue Agave Tequila
- 30 ml Vermouth
- Ginger Beer (to top off the cocktail)
- Ice Cubes
- Lemon twist, fig slice or candied ginger for garnish
Raw Dark Sugar Simple Syrup:
To make the raw dark sugar simple syrup, combine equal parts raw dark sugar (such as muscovado or demerara) and water in a saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool before using.
Instructions:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the Saintlier Burnt Fig Gin, fresh lime juice, raw dark sugar simple syrup, Blue Agave Tequila and sweet vermouth.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously until well chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled highball, coupe or martini glass.
- Top off the cocktail with ginger beer for a delightful effervescence.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon, a thin slice of fresh fig or candied ginger.
- Sip and enjoy the harmonious blend of fig, citrus, ginger, tequila, sweet vermouth and the depth of raw dark sugar
